Bridlepath Rulebook
Preface
Bridlepath is a gaming community that brings the equestrian way of life to The Sims 3 and The Sims 4. Through interactive activities and storytelling, we are able to live out our many equestrian dreams. Members can breed, train, trade, and compete with their horses and Sims, all while enjoying the option to play and interact with others who share the same passions.
All members are expected to follow the rules listed here while interacting with our community on any and all of our platforms. These rules are implemented for member privacy, safety, and comfort within the community.
Accounts and Usage
Members who do not comply with these rules may receive a warning, timeout, or ban at the discretion of the administrator.
- Each member may only have one main site account, and one forum account, as well as only one Discord account participating in the Bridlepath Discord server.
- Members may not utilise any accounts other than their own in any way - this includes the following:
- Logging into a friend's account.
- Creating additional accounts.
- Profiting from the use of another account in any manner. Eg:
- Conspiring with a friend to manipulate auctions.
- Receiving funds from an account which is not an active member of the Bridlepath community.
- Members must be thirteen (13) or older to join, as required by the ESRB rating for The Sims franchise.
- You may not trade Bridlepath money for non-Bridlepath transactions (ie. items on other sim communities).
Acceptable Content and Behaviour
We have a policy of kindness. Treat others how you want to be treated, and we'll all get along just fine. Our members span a wide range of ages and levels of familiarity with horse and sim communities, so it is important that everybody is mindful of what (and how) they post by complying with the following rules:
- The primary language of Bridlepath is English, and English translations must be provided any time another language is used. Google translate is fine.
- Harassment, abuse, and bullying other members is strictly prohibited across all of our platforms. If you are feeling targeted require staff intervention please contact an Admin.
- Trolling or posting deliberately provocative content or comments is not tolerated.
- We have a strict policy against homophobia, transphobia, racism, sexism, fatphobia and ableism.
- Avoid the following topics: suicide, animal/human abuse, rape, graphic images, murder/mutilation, or drug use.
- Swearing is permitted in moderation as long as it isn't directed at someone.
- Mini-modding is not tolerated. If you see that rules are being broken, report it to the Admin team!
- You must not request or offer real-world currency for goods, services, or donations within this community, including sharing external platforms that facilitate such transactions.
- Piracy of any kind isn't acceptable on Bridlepath. This includes file uploads, links, and advice/support in pirating material.
The things you say and the way you convey yourself define who you are on the internet, as well as how you represent our community. If you support the Bridlepath community, do not participate in malicious behaviour.
Main Site-Specific Rules
- Your display name on the Main Site must match your display name on Discord and the Forum.
- Emojis or unique characters are not allowed in the following:
- Display Names
- Horse Names
- Stable Prefixes
- Staff Names
- You may only utilise one pre/suffix per stable. If you want to use another pre/suffix, you may do so by purchasing a second stable.
- Any and all names or descriptions submitted and used on Bridlepath must be kept PG-13 and safe for work.
- Any and all images linked throughout Bridlepath must be kept PG-13 and safe for work.
- Sending a horse to the Graveyard cannot be undone.
- Personal sale and service rules will not be enforced by Staff on Bridlepath. It is up to our members to respect and uphold personal sale or service rules.
- Reclaims are not enforced by Staff on Bridlepath. Once you transfer ownership of a horse, it must be sent back to you to possess ownership of it again.
- The malicious and intentional exploitation of any bugs or glitches is not allowed.
- As new features are added, this list may be updated accordingly.
Forum-Specific Rules
- Member's display names on the forum must match their display names on the Main Site.
- Signature images should not exceed 100px tall in total.
- All members may have only one scrapbook on the forum.
Discord-Specific Rules
Members who do not comply with these rules may lose Bridlepath Discord privileges at the discretion of an administrator in addition to a possible warning, suspension, or ban.
- Members' Bridlepath Discord name must match their forum & main site name.
- Public spaces on Bridlepath are rated PG and topics in any channels must abide by these.
- Spamming is not permitted on Bridlepath Discord. Spamming is considered as more than 4 photos within a single minute or other similar situations, at moderator discretion. If you have a lot of content to share then consider starting a scrapbook/album on the forum.
- The sharing of other members' photos must be minimal, and always with credit given to the original photographer.
- Promoting forum threads (for sales, scrapbooks, services, shows, etc) is not permitted outside of the #advertisements channel. Advertisements and announcements must relate directly to Bridlepath. Chatter should be kept to #general-chat.
